2 Little Birds and A Pearl

This living room space wasn't the easiest layout to design. Its open, but not very large. It really only has one solid wall. There are so many openings, doors, stairs...  I knew going into designing this space, I was really going to have to think through the layout. And its far from done! I like to play, and move things around often, so its likely to not stay this way for too very long. We still have plans to change the stair railing, add some type of architectural pieces going up the stair wall, and I'm on the hunt for the perfect rug for the space! But as promised, I'm hear to show you our progress, not just our completion! Everything has been freshly painted in Sherwin Williams Useful Grey. And the trim is done in Extra White. Hey Guys!!   First off, I just wanted to thank you all for your interest in what we are doing over here in this fixer upper of ours! I kinda got a wake up call last week, when I was asked on MANY occasions about how things at the house were coming along. As well as being asked when I was going to post more! I realized that people are reading and keeping up more than I expected! So the fact that you guys care is awesome!! I promise to strive to be more consistent with posting here on the blog. Sometimes life gets sooooo full and schedules are so busy, and I have put this on the back burner. But its something I love and get excited about, and the fact that you are all following along makes me even more excited! We are officially moved into the house guys!!! Life has felt like a whirlwind the last couple of weeks!! We are trying to get back into normal routine and settle down a bit! ( is this really possible with 3 kiddos, 2 jobs, and living in a fixer upper??)   I have so many things I want to catch you guys up on, but today is all about the paint colors we chose for the interior!! So unless you have been living under a rock, then you all know Chip and Joanna Gaines. Aside from their great show on HGTV, they also have a full line of products including home decor, clothing, accessories...Well recently they partnered with Kilz and launched a paint line!! I've been anxious to try the colors and now was my perfect chance!! One awesome thing they offer are these peel and stick samples! Since its so hard to pick a color from a computer screen, you can order these samples that are about  9x11" in size and they stick to your wall.  You can really get a better effect of how the color
